990 V3 Kith - Genesis

The Kith x New Balance 990 V3 “Genesis” is a Summer 2021 collaboration between Ronnie Fieg’s sneaker boutique and New Balance on the third variation of the latter’s popular lifestyle shoe. The New Balance 990 V3 is a retro running shoe often credited with being among the most influential sneakers in the “dad shoe” movement that began in the late 2010s. No stranger to collaboration, especially with New Balance, Fieg dresses the comfortable low-top in a predominately navy-and-black color block. Specifically, the shoe features a navy mesh base with buttery black suede overlays. Tonal “N” branding appears on both sides and “990” insignia can be found in metallic silver text on the lateral side of the heel. A small “NB” logo resides on the back of the shoe and tonal “New Balance USA” detailing is embroidered on the metallic silver leather tongue. The branding is in reference to the country where the 990 V3 is manufactured. A cream-and-white midsole puts the finishing touches on yet another desirable collaboration between the New York City sneaker boutique and New Balance. Kith - Genesis
