Air Vapormax / MN Marc Newson

Acclaimed industrial designer Marc Newson was given an opportunity to revamp Nike’s newly minted VaporMax model in the way he saw fit. The result is this bold NikeLab Air VaporMax – a member of the “VisionAirs” collection, highlighting three sneakers designed by three style and technology visionaries – featuring contrasting textiles and colors. Amending the silhouette with a high-top look using Nike’s patented sock-like collar, Newson’s brainchild also bears no resemblance to any runner we’ve ever seen. Vachetta Tan leather paneling works well against Rio Teal-colored Flyknit. Crisscross stitching, a Velcro strap, embossed Swoosh, and proper MN branding accounts for the luxury detailing.
